Bucharest Becomes the European Hub for Cyber Resilience Act Implementation

CRA EUROPE 2026 – CYBER RESILIENCE IN ACTION

On March 4, 2026, the Romanian Parliament in Bucharest will host CRA EUROPE 2026 – Cyber Resilience in Action, a high-level international conference dedicated to the operational implementation of the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).

Organised by I-ENERGYLINK and the CYBERFORT consortium, with the support of the Romanian National Cyber Security Directorate (DNSC), the event brings together European and national decision-makers, regulators, supervisory authorities, industry leaders, cybersecurity experts, technology providers, and academic representatives.

From Regulation to Practical Implementation

CRA EUROPE 2026 goes beyond regulatory discussions. It focuses on practical implementation.

The main objective is to translate Cyber Resilience Act requirements into clear guidance, structured compliance models, and actionable tools for SMEs, manufacturers, integrators, and operators in critical sectors.

The conference addresses:

  • Clarification of CRA obligations, timelines, and enforcement expectations.
  • Alignment between CRA, NIS2, the Cybersecurity Act, and EU certification frameworks.
  • Real-world implementation in product development environments.
  • Practical methodologies, tools, and support services for SMEs.
  • Building a coordinated and sustainable European CRA support ecosystem.

Three Strategic Sessions for Real Impact

1️⃣ Setting the CRA Compliance Framework

This session provides a strategic and institutional overview of CRA implementation across Europe. Executive panels and high-level speakers from ENISA, the European Commission, DNSC, and industry leaders clarify roles, responsibilities, and support mechanisms.

2️⃣ From Compliance to Capability

Focused on operational endurance, this session addresses:

  • Vulnerability handling procedures
  • Incident reporting obligations
  • CE marking documentation requirements
  • Pilot use cases in energy, finance, maritime, and cybersecurity SMEs

Live demonstrations and CYBERFORT project insights illustrate how structured compliance can be embedded into development cycles.

3️⃣ From National Strategy to Market Transformation

The final session explores how compliance can evolve into competitive advantage, highlighting:

  • Institutionalising CRA support beyond project cycles
  • Public-private partnerships
  • Access to European markets for Romanian SMEs
  • Alignment of investment, energy, and digitalisation sectors with secure-by-design principles

The core message: compliance is not only an obligation — it is strategic positioning.

Why CRA EUROPE 2026 Matters

By hosting this event in Bucharest, Romania strengthens its role as an active contributor to the European CRA ecosystem and a regional anchor for SME-focused cyber resilience initiatives.

CRA EUROPE 2026 demonstrates how coordinated European policy, national governance mechanisms, and EU-funded cybersecurity projects can deliver measurable impact and sustainable compliance capacity across the European digital market.
