Renewable resources are the future of the energy industry.

Eximprod is an early adopter of renewable energy in Romania, starting the activity in 2003 by purchasing its own 660 kW Vestas V47 wind turbine and installing it in Topolog. The first wind turbine in Romania began to produce green energy and wrote history in the field of renewable energy.

We continued the project by forming the core of the team for the operation and maintenance of the newly installed wind turbine. Later, we developed several projects to produce energy from renewable sources, in two geographical areas with important wind resources of Romania: Dobrogea and Southern Moldova.

In 2012, as a natural continuation of activities, we developed photovoltaic projects. Now we have a portfolio of wind and photovoltaic projects of over 600 MW, in different stages of development.

The scale of the renewable energy sector led us to become in 2014 the first company in Romania certified by ANRE (Romanian Regulatory Authority for Energy) to issue type A3 energy compliance certificates for renewable energy power plants.

Cogeneration projects have developed significantly over the last 2 decades and have become one of the most profitable solutions on the market today. As a general contractor for the cogeneration plant commissioned in 2010 in Buzau, a system that uses two 3MW GE Jenbacher engines, Eximprod built together with local authorities a modern central providing heating, hot water, and electricity for the city of Buzau, Romania.
