Job description

Our SCADA team is looking for a Networking and Security Engineer who is passionate about networks, cybersecurity and telecommunications architectures, and who will support SCADA teams with ITC expertise while contributing to our industrial security solutions.

The role combines technical support for SCADA teams with presales and hands-on delivery: you will contribute to telecommunications architecture definition, requirements analysis and solution design, through to commissioning of the SG200 Site Guardian platform, Eximprod’s OT/SCADA cybersecurity and NIS2 compliance solution for distributed energy assets.

You will develop your technical expertise on complex projects, built to industry standards and deployed in industrial environments with high safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Technical presales support for the SG200 platform: presentations, demonstrations and technical sessions with customers
Customer requirements analysis, site surveys and design of the network and security architecture (segmentation, VPN, secure remote access, monitoring)
Supporting SCADA teams in defining, reviewing and validating telecommunications architectures for industrial and energy projects
Preparing technical specifications and bills of materials, and contributing to commercial offers
End-to-end implementation: installing and configuring firewalls, industrial switches and virtualized security services
Commissioning and testing at customer sites, including support during site acceptance tests (SAT)
Preparing technical documentation and NIS2 compliance documentation
Post-implementation support: monitoring, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of delivered platforms

Mandatory requirements

3+ years of professional experience in networking and/or cybersecurity
Hands-on experience configuring network equipment: L2/L3 switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, 802.1Q trunking, STP/LACP, static routing and OSPF, ACLs and IPsec/SSL VPNs
Solid knowledge of the OSI model, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, MPLS, network security concepts and traffic analysis with Wireshark
Use of diagnostic and administration tools: ping, traceroute/tracert, netstat, nslookup, arp, Nmap, Tcpdump, Cisco IOS and Wireshark
Basic experience administering Windows and Linux systems, including installation, updates, configuration and use of Bash/PowerShell command line tools
Minimum recommended certification: CCNA or equivalent practical knowledge
Good communication and presentation skills in customer-facing situations
Willingness to travel to customer sites across the country

Nice to have

Experience with Cisco networking and security products (industrial firewalls, Industrial Ethernet switches, Cisco Cyber Vision)
Experience in OT/SCADA environments and with industrial protocols (IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus/TCP)
Experience with open-source security and infrastructure tools such as OPNsense, WireGuard, Wazuh, Zeek, Suricata, FreeIPA, NetBox or Guacamole
Experience with virtualization platforms (Proxmox VE, VMware) and with backup and disaster recovery solutions
Knowledge of virtualization and related infrastructure: Hyper-V, VMware, Proxmox, VirtualBox, vSwitch/vNIC, resource allocation, datastores, NFS/iSCSI/SAN/NAS, snapshots, cloning and live migration
Hands-on cybersecurity experience: firewall/SIEM/EDR configuration, incident investigation, security audits, log analysis and basic scripting in Python, Bash or PowerShell
Familiarity with the NIS2 Directive requirements for critical infrastructure operators
Previous presales experience or a technical role with direct customer contact
