  • When the structure is used to support cables or aluminium busbars, the surge arresters may be replaced with ICS 24 AV bypass insulators or ICS 24 ASB post insulators.
  • The type of pole on which the support will be installed must be specified when placing the order.

Key Features

Eximprod medium-voltage switch-disconnectors comply with the technical requirements of Romania’s electricity distribution system operators.

  • Mainly active load-breaking current: 20 A, 25 A, 31.5 A, 50 A or 250 A
  • Modular pole construction and composite insulation for easier maintenance
  • The equipment can be motorised at a later stage and operated remotely through a SCADA system
  • The supplied package includes all metal components required for pole installation and reliable operation, including the switch-disconnector support frame, operating rod set, operating rod guides and ground-level operating mechanism (AME)

Key Features

The remotely controlled air-insulated switch-disconnectors comply with the technical requirements of Romania’s electricity distribution system operators.

  • Mainly active load-breaking current: 50 A, 250 A or 400 A
  • Modular pole construction and composite insulation for easier maintenance
  • The supplied package includes all components required for pole installation and reliable operation, including the switch-disconnector support frame, operating rod and operating mechanism
  • Manual earthing is possible using a rod operated from ground level

Operating Cabinet

The DA-type electrical operating cabinet controls the closing and opening of STE-T three-pole outdoor remotely controlled switch-disconnectors, either locally or remotely through the telecontrol equipment.

The cabinet contains the protection, control and signalling components, together with a DC motor and integrated mechanical reduction gearbox. The switch-disconnector operating mechanism is mounted on the gearbox.

The cabinet is also equipped with 12 V / 26 Ah batteries, which provide the energy required to operate the electric motor.

9.3. Remote-Controlled Outdoor SF₆-Insulated Switch-Disconnectors

Key Features

  • The three-pole SF₆-insulated load-break switch is a self-contained, enclosed equipment assembly featuring double rotary contacts and arc quenching in an SF₆ insulating medium.
  • The main component is the load-break switch itself, with or without an earthing switch, designed to interrupt rated load currents on overhead lines in electricity distribution networks.
  • Because the switch components are enclosed and operate in an SF₆ gas-insulated environment, the equipment is durable and reliable. The internal components are not directly exposed to rain, snow, wind, pollution or the effects of bird activity.
  • The electrical cabinet provides control and monitoring of the switch-disconnector’s three-pole outdoor switching module.
  • The cabinet contains the protection, control and signalling components, together with the electrical, electronic, telecommunications and software subsystems required for the remote control and remote monitoring of the load-break switch.

10. Pole-Mounted Metering Unit

Eximprod supplies the complete equipment package required for a pole-mounted metering unit used to measure active and reactive electrical energy at a specific point in a medium-voltage distribution network.

Voltage and current measurements are performed using voltage and current instrument transformers. The equipment can be installed on a wide range of pole types, depending on the specific requirements of the project.

The medium-voltage instrument transformers supplied by Eximprod hold Model Approval issued by the Romanian Bureau of Legal Metrology (BRML).

In addition to standard medium-voltage instrument transformers, Eximprod can supply, upon request, a wide range of toroidal current transformers for metering and zero-sequence protection applications.

13. Medium-Voltage Distribution Transformers

Upon request, Eximprod Power Systems supplies distribution transformers with rated power levels ranging from 630 to 3,150 kVA, as well as transformation ratios other than 20/0.4 kV.

Eximprod Power Systems can also supply distribution transformers equipped with automatic tap-changing systems.
